Staying informed about market conditions is critical to making smart business decisions in the construction industry. Carolinas AGC provides members with access to trusted, up-to-date construction economic data and analysis from both regional and national sources.
Through partnerships with organizations such as AGC of America and the American Road & Transportation Builders Association (ARTBA), members can track trends that affect every segment of the industry from material costs and labor availability to infrastructure funding and bid activity.
Joint Committee Recommendations
Joint Cooperative Committees of Carolinas AGC work to recommend guidelines known as Joint Committee Recommendation (JCRs) for avoiding and solving problems that are the result of decades of work on industry-related subjects. After discussion, JCRs are approved by the Board of Directors and posted on the Carolinas AGC website for the benefit of all members. JCR’s are provided to owners, designers/engineers and contractors as industry recommended standards of practice.
Building Division JCRs
Building Division JCR's are developed by the respective Joint Cooperative Committees of Carolinas AGC and the state AIA Chapters in North Carolina and South Carolina. JCRs for each state recommend guidelines on issues ranging from not issuing last-minute addenda to the best times for bids and are the result of decades of work involving architects and contractors who have reached agreements on industry-related subjects. Building Division JCR's are approved by the Boards of Directors of Carolinas AGC and the AIA chapters.
