NCLBGC Courses
Carolinas AGC is proud to offer NCLBGC-approved continuing education opportunities designed with commercial contractors in mind. Register today for any of our upcoming classes to fulfill your mandatory annual CE requirements before the end of the year! Visit our NCLBGC course page for more class information and to register.
Continuing Education Requirements for License Renewal
North Carolina general contractor licensees in the Building, Residential, and Unclassified classifications must have at least one qualifier complete 8 hours of CE annually to renew the license. For Unclassified licenses, the qualifier must be the individual who passed the Building examination. The 8-hour requirement includes a 2-hour mandatory course produced by the Board, plus 6 hours of elective courses from Board-approved providers.
The CE year runs January 1 through November 30, and classes are not available in December. Register early to complete your requirements before the November 30 deadline!
Private Training Opportunities

AGC Edge
AGC Edge offers live virtual training for construction professionals through AGC of America. Courses feature live instruction and are available in a variety of schedules to support construction professionals who want high-quality training without traveling. Safety Training
Safety is a core value of Carolinas AGC, and we support members with training designed to strengthen jobsite safety, compliance, and workforce readiness. Current safety offerings include DOT work zone and flagger training, NCDOT and SCDOT traffic control certifications, competent person training, fall protection, scaffold safety, rigging, silica, trenching and excavation, confined space, safety inspections, and other safety and health programs. CAGC can also provide customized safety training on virtually any topic your team needs. Courses are offered in-person, online, and on-site throughout the year, with curriculum kept current on industry standards and compliance requirements. View all Safety Training Opportunities.
NCCER/Craft Training
The CAGC Foundation is an accredited training sponsor for NCCER. We support approved training locations by certifying instructors, assisting with program and curriculum selection, processing training completions, and serve as the liaison between the Training Unit and NCCER. CAGC is also an NCCER testing center for all journey-level written tests, with a certified proctor authorized to administer and monitor written module tests for craft trainees.
