The CAGC Foundation, will be overseeing this certification process.<\/p>\n<h1>\n\t\t\tCAGC SC Trades Certification Program\t<\/h1>\n<h3>\n\t\t\tTo pay your renewal by check, please make it payable to CAGC Foundatio\t<\/h3>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/carolinasagc.regfox.com\/sctrades-application\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Apply (New Certification)<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/carolinasagc.regfox.com\/sctrades-renewal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Renew (Existing Cardholders)<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tProgram Overview\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The CAGC SC Trade Certification card, formerly the Municipal Association Trade Certification card, is confirmation that a cardholder has satisfied the experience and written examination qualifications required by the Foundation to hold the level of certification indicated. This certification should not be confused with the South Carolina Mechanical Contractors License or the South Carolina Residential Builders Commission&#8217;s Specialty Contractors License.  <\/p>\n<p>A tradesman interested in either of the above licenses should contact the appropriate agency as follows:<\/p>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/llr.sc.gov\/clb\/\" target=\"_blank\">Contractors Licensing Board<\/a> (for commercial work over $10,000)\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/llr.sc.gov\/res\/\" target=\"_blank\">Residential Builders Commission<\/a> (for residential work over $500)\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/acrobat.adobe.com\/id\/urn:aaid:sc:US:d722c186-4f90-4898-994f-156330a60193\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn More&#8230;<\/a>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tApplication Process\t<\/h2>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tComplete the application in full.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tSubmit the $35 application fee.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tApplication review begins once the application fee has been received.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tPlease allow up to two (2) weeks for applications to be processed.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tUpon approval, the applicant will receive a notification from <strong>PROV<\/strong>, CAGC Foundation&#8217;s contracted examination provider.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tApplicants are responsible for scheduling their own exam date with PROV.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tExams may be taken online or in person at an approved testing facility.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tRetesting Information\t<\/h2>\n\t<ul>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tCandidates who are approved to test but do not pass the exam or allow their exam voucher to expire are not required to submit a new application.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t\t<li>\n\t\t\t\tTo retest, candidates must submit the $35 application fee to the CAGC Foundation.\n\t\t\t<\/li>\n\t\t<\/ul>\n\t<h2><button id=\"fl-accordion--button-0\" aria-controls=\"fl-accordion--content-0\" aria-expanded=\"true\" type=\"button\">Remote Testing Information<i data-label-icon=\"fas fa-plus\" data-active-icon=\"fas fa-minus\">Collapse<\/i><\/button><\/h2>\n<h2>\n\t\t\tTrades Certification Terms of Service\t<\/h2>\n\t<p>The receipt and payment of a renewal invoice for participation in the CAGC Foundation Trade Certification Program indicates the certification holder&#8217;s agreement to the following terms of service:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The trade certification holder will not represent to anyone that the CAGC Foundation trade certification card is evidence of a license to engage in any particular trade or business or represents any evaluation by CAGC Foundation trade certification program or warranty of the quality of the holder&#8217;s services.<\/li>\n<li>The trade certification holder will not represent to anyone that the CAGC Foundation Trade Certification card represents proof of U.S. citizenship or of lawful presence in the United States.<\/li>\n<li>The trade certification holder will not display, reproduce, or use the CAGC Foundation logo without prior written authorization from the CAGC Foundation trade certification program.
